How much does a counselling session cost?
The cost per session is £50 for individuals. I offer a reduced rate for counselling students (Level 4). I ask that payment by bank transfer is made in advance of an initial session.
How long is a counselling session?
A counselling session lasts for 50 minutes, known as the ‘therapeutic hour’.
How often would I need to come to counselling?
Sessions are usually held on a weekly basis at a time and day agreed by us. Most people have the same time each week but I can be flexible to suit your work/family commitments. Appointments are available Monday to Friday between 9am and 8pm.
Where would the sessions take place?
Face to face sessions will be held at the Redi Centre which is close to the bus and train station in Redditch. There is free parking on site.
Online sessions are held via Zoom. Online counselling can provide greater flexibility without the need for travel. They are useful for clients who would prefer a counsellor from a different area to where they live.
How long will I need counselling for?
I work with clients on both a short term and long term basis. I would recommend a course of 6 sessions to begin with, this can be reviewed and more sessions are available if needed. We will discuss and work with the best options for you.
Are counselling sessions confidential?
Counselling sessions are confidential and information is not disclosed without permission from you, the exception being where I am legally required to do so.
